Large Sciacca coral and 14 kt gold earrings made up of 2 detachable pieces of gold set with coral buttons of various sizes. Sciacca coral was collected from the Strait of Sicily until the 1930s, and its orange colour is caused by the sulphur present in the volcanic water. It is part of the Mediterranean coral family, corallium rubrum, and therefore no CITES certificate is required to market and sell it. The setting is entirely handmade.
