Beautiful heavy antique necklace of 5 strands natural garnets with a large gold ornamental clasp. Originating from the Zeeland regional dress at the end of 1800, the clasp has a smooth edge that was applied approx. 1900, after which a scalloped edge was made. The 5 strands of dark red garnets rise from 40 to 55 cm. Very generous decorative clasp decorated with filigree work and numerous Zeeland buttons, and inlaid with 23 garnets It is a beautiful authentic striking piece of jewellery.
