14 kt. Yellow gold - Beautiful pair of Bourbon Sicilian '800 earrings - Pearls, Sapphires
Beautiful pair of typical Sicilian Bourbon dangle earrings in two bodies with Naples hooks, from the first half of the 800s, in low grade gold, with very fine ornamentation in foliage and swirls inscribed in relief, and enhanced with small natural pearls (some small pearls missing but nothing that compromises the beauty or the value the piece has gained over the years) .
. They are hallmarked with small Bourbon hallmarks.
. They are very refined and eye-catching, they measure 6 x 2 cm.
. In very good condition despite their age.
. Their beauty is evinced from the photo; please take a good look at the photo gallery.
. Total weight: 4. 5 g
. Although Bourbon jewellery does not have a high value as far as the materials are concerned, they have very high quality craftsmanship. In general, the gold is never very high quality, but it is not always easy to define the carat weight of items of jewellery from the Bourbon period, as each goldsmith had his own personal "recipe" for the gold. However, these are still rare and precious items of jewellery, which deserve to be worn with pride.
