Additional Information: An enormous Citrine Gemstone is the focal point of this vintage 14K cocktail ring, but the fun does not stop with the pear shaped, diamond faceted, ¾” long Citrine. The fiery Gemstone is also 5/8” or over ½” wide and is supported by an open cage work design, because it allows the most light to filter through this very deep 3/8” stone (over ¼” deep!) stone. But that is just the stone, the top side of the ring has an outstanding cut work design with pave set Diamonds in open back settings that swirl, enhancing the sparkle and also allowing lots of light through. The ring is a size 8, in excellent condition and marked 14K on the inside of one shank. Because of the fabulous design, this ring with the huge beautiful and flawless looking Citrine (I am not a Gemologist, but I see no inclusions), and does not feel heavy or over done. Definitely a statement piece, it is comfortable to wear and naturally draws the eye. With the Gold Gemstone in a yellow Gold setting, it can go with anything because it is essentially a neutral Gold in color. A fabulous ring to add to any jewelry collection, I would show a pic to your jeweler to ask about resizing. The large pear shaped Citrine is set with three large prongs and are not a problem, but the pave Diamonds may limit re-sizing a bit. An outstanding creation to wear and to collect, and to become an heirloom piece of jewelry, it will also become a welcome addition to any jewelry collection.
