Rare Authentic Blue Glass Dutch Georgian Marquise shaped 14/18 kt Yellow Gold Ring circa 1790. Intense Blue Glass ground and lovely Flower Bird Spray set with Rose cut Diamonds. The bird looks to be a romantic gift. Very good condition blue glass. No missing diamond around the border and no cracks in the blue glass. The left bottom corner of the ring has a very small little damage hardly visible under a digital microscope. The marquise elongated plateau measures approx. 30 x 20 mm, (1. 2" x 0. 6") and is gently curved. The Gold band is reeded with nice shoulders. The reverse is beautifully decorated and the ring head is contoured to the finger. Two hallmarks that cannot be identified. Therefore acid tested for at least 14 to 18 kt. (see pictures) . Weight: 6 g Substantial feel on the hand. Particularly attractive interpretation of Georgian Cobalt Blue Glass Gold jewelry with 17 rose-cut diamond naturalistic bird decoration with red ruby or glass eye.
