Very good condition
Rare second edition (the first printed in Germany) of the much-published and translated work: a history of the so-called Milan War, which led first to the expulsion but eventually to the reinstatement of Francesco Sforza II as Duke of Milan.
Italian writer and statesman (1487-1537) Capella was secretary to the Duke and for a time minister;
he reports here as an intimate connoisseur of the events and backgrounds.
