1581 ROMAN & Verona LAW Juris Civilis Milis Repertorium
1581 ROMAN & Verona LAW Juris Civilis Milis Repertorium Aureum Ferrandat Latin
Johannes Milis was a 15th-century Veronese lawyer who wrote several works on Roman law. Perhaps his most famous was ‘Repertoirum Aureum’ which was one of the most popular and oft-referenced law dictionaries of the middle ages. Because of its popularity, many famous lawyers and jurists added notes and commentary to subsequent editions of this book – names such as Henri Ferrandat who contributed edits to this work.
It is worth noting that this 1581 edition of Milis’s ‘Repertorium’ is exceedingly rare. According to the USTC, there are no known copies in any American libraries or institutional holdings, let alone any for sale!
