This work of Surius, a German Carthusian scholar (hagiographer) and historian from Lubeck, recounts the history of religious disputes beginning in 1500.
It contains references to Christopher Columbus, Amerigo Vespucci, and also discusses events in Mexico and Florida (pages 509-515). Despite the title, the text was continued up to 1586 by Dutch theologian Michael von Isselt.
