Antoine Jacob, more commonly known as Montfleury, was a 17th-century actor who wrote several popular plays. One of his earliest works was ‘Le Mariage de Rien’ or ‘The Void Marriage’ – a short one act farce. This 1660 printing is a fine example of mid-17th-century French theater outside of that of Moliere.
