Obverse: second laureate draped bust, facing right, attributed to John Roettier, 'CAROLVS · II · DEI · GRATIA' around. Reverse: crowned cruciform shields of royal arms representing England, Scotland, Ireland and France around a central Garter Star with interlinked Cs in the angles. The date (1668) is divided by the English crown and precedes a legend that reads 'MAG · BR · FRA · ET · HIB · REX ·'. Edge: raised lettering that reads '+ · DECVS · ET · TVTAMEN · ANNO · REGNI · VICESIMO ·'. Weight: 29.62g. Diameter: 37.7mm.
