Study of Hebrew philology by Johann Leusden (1624-1699), a Dutch theologist and Hebraist, professor of Hebrew at the Utrecht University, who on top of his philological work, published together with the publisher Joseph Athias of Amsterdam a controversial edition of the bible.
The book is accompanied by nine fine engraved plates depicting, among other things, the Tabernacle, as well as various Jewish customs – baking Matzahs, lighting Sabbath candles, Chuppah and more.

Good condition.
Some soiling of the vellum
Tears and minor blemishes to several leaves.
Handwritten ownership inscription on front endpaper (dated 1696).
