Leonard Tassin was a 17th-century surgeon, who, along with his practices, are relatively unknown today. However, while he was working at the royal hospital in Maastricht, Netherlands, he published his best medical treatise – ‘Anatomical Administrations’. In this book, he describes the parts of the body focusing heavily on the parts of the brain and chest. This 1688 edition of Tassin includes his much shorter treatise on military surgery and care for soldiers.
