Enc. in full skin, golden wheels, edges and eyebrows, nerves, curdled lomera, double tejuelo, presented in a cloth flask. Jacques Barrelier was a prominent physician and botanist of the 17th century. During his long stay in Rome he founded a botanical garden and gathered a botanical collection that he studied and drew. He died before he could complete his work, and an unfortunate incentive destroyed all his notes, only the plates survived.
