This famous 1716 Hebrew Old Testament Bible is the third and final Bible printed in the series known as the ‘Clodius Bibles’. These three issues, all printed in Frankfurt, were based on the 1677 David Clodius edits. David Clodius was a German Protestant known for his Hebrew studies and Hebrew translation of the Bible.

This edition was completed by Georg Christian Bürcklin who used Clodius’s Hebrew and the text from the Athias-Leusden edition of 1667. (D&M 5143).

The excerpt features the books of Old Testament Prophets as well as the Psalms of David.
