Additional Information: This a very nice map of Asia with plenty of only partially explored regions.Kamchatka appears as a squat peninsula above the island of Yedso (Hokkaido), to the east of which is a large landmass labeled De Gama's Land named for the Portuguese captain who reported sighting land in the northern Pacific.Novaya Zemlya is only partially shown in the Northern Ocean (Artctic Ocean).The Sea of Japan is named the Sea of Corea. The direction of trade winds are graphically shown in the oceans.With that said, plenty of topographical, river, lake and settlement details are offered.The map is decorated with a title cartouche and a nice compass rose.
