Eugene Aram was the notorious 18th-century murderer of Daniel Clark. In 1744, Aram was accused and ultimately convicted of murdering his friend, much in part to multiple pieces of evidence, including bones being uncovered in his possession. In 1759, an account of the trial was published, an account that would become wildly popular throughout Britain. This book discussed the mysterious disappearance of Clark along with the evidences supporting Aram’s guilt. The story of Aram and Clark famously influenced the works of Wodehouse, Bulwer-Lytton, and even George Orwell.
Curiously this title is also bound with an unknown edition of ‘The Compleat Farmer: Or, the Whole Art of Husbandry.’ by Robert Brown.
