1776 1ed VENUS ART Attributes Greek & Roman Mythology Aphrodite Illustrated Chau

‘Dissertation on the Attributes of Venus’ is a late 18th-century essay by Geraud de la Chau written as a study on the mythological god Venus or Aphrodite. It covers a variety of topics regarding ‘the god of love’ but mostly focused on the differing qualities from the Greek and Roman perspectives. It also deals with the temples that had been dedicated to the iconic goddess.
