1776 Magazine Revolutionary War w/ Map

Bound volume of "The Town and Country Magazine or Universal Repository….Vol. VIII for th Year 1776, printed at London for A. Hamilton (1777). All twelve monthly issues each with title page, and 22 engraved plates including "A View of New York Governors Island, the Island and c from Long Island" and the large folding map of the Country round Boston in New England with Plan of Boston and Charlestown showing among other things Bunkers Hill. The volume with great reporting on the Revolutionary War although there is no printing of the Declaration of Independence (appeared in a later volume of the magazine). 716 pages followed by index. In period binding with marbled boards and leather reback. Fine condition, the map is detached with light creasing. Measures 6 x 8.5".
