In a round gilded gessoed frame with a back painted glass frontpiece that features a border of grapes and vines, bare breasted Sappho is contemplating her next move. On the reverse is a hand written tag that reads SAPPHO listening to the instructions of LOVE, of Cupid's dangerous wiles fond.Maid beware, nor fall incautious in his fatal snare. This wonderful Print measures 10" round.
