Apollonius of Rhodes was one of the most iconic and famous ancient Greek authors – most known today for his epic of Jason and the Argonauts. Named ‘Argonautica’, this work follows the mythological voyage of Jason and his quest for the Golden Fleece and his relationship with sorceress Medea. This poem is often considered one of the greats of antiquity alongside those of Homer, Ovid, and Virgil.
