We find this same incredible 2 volume set for sale elsewhere for $1,250! This set is complete with 3 folding maps plus 1 folding city plan. Savary, who spoke fluent Arabic, traveled in Egypt from 1776-79 and is remembered for his writings of experiences. His book became a sort of Bible for European travelers in the late 18th-century.
