17C French Ivory Relief Plaque Angel & Man

17th century French carved ivory relief depicting an angel announcing something to a man -- looks as though the angel is holding something between two fingers of his left hand. Plaque measures about 6-1/4" x 4-1/4", unframed. Old, illegible writing on the back. Unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic and not a later reproduction.
