A Beautifully Decorated Looking Glass frame, first half of the 17th c., having an arched and blocked top, blocked bottom, oval lady's portrait at top, the corners featuring stag, unicorn, lion and leopard in ovals with fleur-de-lis corners, spaced by blossoms, representation of a sundial at bottom center. Bead feet at bottom, underframe is pine. 20 3/4" x 18", opening: 8 1/2" x 11 1/4". Light wear and fading, but remarkably intact. Condition commensurate with age and use.
