17th C. Native American Glass & Ceramic Bead Necklace

Native American, Oklahoma, Muskogee, Muscogee Tribe, ca. 17th century CE. A stunning ensemble of hundreds of glass and ceramic trade beads displaying barrel and tubular forms and boasting vibrant hues of cyan, powder blue, cobalt, robin egg blue, navy, russet, white, and cream. Strung on a single modern strand to be wearable, the elegant beads are beautifully arranged into large alternating groups of different colors. A pair of sizeable, cylindrical beads made from pottery drop down at the center accompanied by a few glass barrel beads, which together forming a lovely pendant-like effect. A gorgeous example of Native American fashion! Size (of strand): 40" L (101.6 cm); Size (of largest bead): 1" L x 0.2" W (2.5 cm x 0.5 cm)
