Details: 17th Century Contract ANTIQUE VELLUM LAND INDENTURE THOMAS MOORE 1687 King James II St Georges Southampton Surrey County England British
This antique vellum land indenture is made out between Thomas Moore and his grandson, Thomas Moore the Younger, in the year 1687. The contract notes that Thomas Moore the Elder is "Of the parish St. Georges Southampton of the county of Surrey" and that it was arranged during the second year of the reign of King James II. The contract measures approximately 11" x 13.5".
This contract is one of a set of 5 antique vellum land indentures from the same estate which are also available for sale during this auction.
Condition / Notes: The land indenture has been folded and there are some minor partial tears in certain creases. Some writing has faded though the text remains mostly legible. There is some less easily decipherable writing on the back of the contract.
