Following the Caravaggio models of the Utrecht School, the anonymous painter of this scene was inspired by the large painting by Master Seghers which is now to be found at the _x000D_
North Carolina Museum of Art. This painting was engraved by the Dutch artist Schelte Adams Bolswert, an engraving which must has been used as a reference by the artist who created this painting, as the original Seghers composition is inverted.
