Refined brooch from the late 19th century, Neo-gothic subject. Made from cast metal and decorated with extremely fine engravings depicting a winged dragon holding a diamond between its jaws. The engraving is extremely detailed and the depiction of the dragon is extremely precise and realistic. The skill of a great master goldsmith is rediscovered. The hook clasp on the back is composed of two spring clamps which are inserted into the slot. Made in France (double eagle head hallmark) . Maker's hallmark.
