A fine small bronze altar effigy of the Goddess Saraswati holding a musical instrument known as a Veena. She is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, flowing water, abundance and wealth, art, speech, wisdom, and learning. This small idol shows generations of ritual use and has been worn smooth from handling over many years and centuries. The sculpture measures 3.5 inches tall.
