Jakob Böhme was an early 17th-century German philosopher known for his theology which was a fusion of Lutheran traditions and mysticism. In 1621, Böhme wrote his most important book ‘De Signatura Rerum’ – his approach to the Doctrine of Signatures. He suggested that God marked various worldly things with a ‘sign’ indicating their purpose. These things included plants, animals, and much more providing clear evidences of his mysterious findings.
