Translation of Togia read as the elements earth/water/fire/air (representing the four clans of the Sioux) and "one hand".Per Wendell Grangaard letter: "One Hand, a Hunkpapa Sioux was born in 1821. He became a member of Sitting Bull's Bad Bow Band of the Icira. He did not marry so he lived with his younger brother, One Who Breaks Arrow and his wife Red Woman. They all followed Sitting Bull and fought with his band. Provenance: Purchased in 2005 by consignor.
