1833 Georgian - 18 kt. Yellow gold - Ring Garnet
Rare and delicate Georgian-era solid gold mourning ring with a foiled natural garnet and an inscription inside that reads: "Ann Atkinson ob (died) 15 June 1833 aged 40. " Ornate engraved shoulders and shank, and black enamel typical of the time. There's also a part-worn hallmark on the inside of the shank including the monarch's head in profile and maker's mark. It's been professionally tested for 18ct gold.
Weight: 3. 57 grams. It remains in very good antique condition, original and unmodified. Comes in a jewellery ring box.
