1838-1863 Manuscript Ledger - Writer Makes Contribution to the African American Church

Manuscript Ledger Book, 9” x 12”, +/- 250 pages, spine present but several pages loose. The first section of 108pp, 1836-1860 lists items sold, mostly Carding. More interesting is the 24 pages of monies spent; paper, pens, needles,matches, ink, coats boots, draws, buttons. Dozens of Classic books, Newspapers, and a Phrenological Almanac. Several line items of contributions, include $10 to the African Methodists Church. Writing is very legible, ink remains dark.
