HM-3 R-4+Bandit face mask around eye present. A small amount of reflectivity resides under the fields on both sides. Color is a coppery gold with grade appropriate field marks. In the new HM classification system, it matches Obverse 2 with the mintmark over the left side of 3 in the date. It is Reverse K with a branch over and just to the left of the D in 2 1/2 D. This makes it HM-3 with a rarity rating of R-4+ This variety has a slight depression in a circle around her eye giving rise to the term Bandit Face. The last Classic Head Quarter Eagle from Charlotte, its mintage was18,140 it becomes exceptionally rare in mint state with most higher graded at PCGS being 58s Auction for the benefit of Catholic Relief Services overseas emergency relief programs
