1845/3 overdate Queen Victoria silver Halfcrown with type A4 'Young Head' (S 3888, Bull 2723). Obverse: right-facing bust by William Wyon, 'VICTORIA DEI GRATIA' above and 1845 dated below, over 1843. Reverse: crowned shield of royal arms within a wreath of laurels, antional flowers below, 'BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF:' around. Edge: milled. Weight: 14.12g. Diameter: 32.3mm. Grade: gVF - good Very Fine, bright, cleaned, some die cracks evident, hairlines under magnification but nothing major, otherwise very attractive.
