This 19th-century Leipzig edition of the complete score is a four-hand piano reduction of the orchestration as well as the choral parts and solos.

Guido Adler (1855–1941) was a Bohemian-Austrian musicologist and writer. Empirical study was for him the most important part of the discipline.
