1861 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE MUSKET

1861 Springfield Percussion Rifle Musket, .58 caliber, 40" round barrel, short blade front sight, lacks ramrod, three barrel bands, the lockplate marked U.S. Springfield with eagle (partially obscured), and "1861", steel butt plate, steel with scratching and some surface rust marks, old wood loss at butt plate tang, back end of lockplate and at right of barrel tang, later but correct replacements are center barrel band, rear sling swivel, rear sight and hammer screw, action is good, bore with surface rust
