Title: 1870's Red & White Lady of the Lakes Sawtooth Pinwheel
Description: This EYE CATCHING cotton 1860's/1870's sawtooth pinwheel/lady of the lakes quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with small triangle pieces measuring approximately 7/8" per side. The quilt measures 80" X 86" and is in very good condition, with age spotting in places (see pics) and no wear. The tiny black center of the flower in the red print has faded out (but the red is strong) in places - see photos. There is quilting around the piecework and in straight line and designs in the background, all at 8-10 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched, rolled binding are the same antique white that is used in the background, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
