1880s GERMAN CAVALRY OFFICER LIONHEAD DRESS SWORD
1880's Imperial German Cavalry Officer Lionhead Dress Sword. Slightly curved, bright fullered blade. Triple acid etching on light gray frosted background, depicting patriotic and floral design. No visible maker mark. Blade width 1.1/8" at ricasso. Decorated gilded brass hilt, lion-head pommel, wreathed crossed swords front langets. Ray-skin covered grip with triple twisted wire. One ring, black painted steel scabbard. Blade Length: 34" | Total Length: 39.5"
Condition Report: Very good. Half of the etching has been scratched off on both sides of the blade. Scabbard shows a few nicks.
