1880's Whig Rose Applique Quilt, Swag Border

This ELEGANT cotton 1870's/1880's whig rose quilt is all hand appliqued and hand quilted, with an unusual swag border.

It measures 80" X 82" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional light spot, light surface dirt in places, and no wear.

There is grid and feathered quilting throughout at 6 stitches to the inch.

The back is white, the hand stitched binding is solid red, and the batting is thin.

The pics just don't do justice to this 19th century MASTERPIECE ~ it's even more impressive in real life!
