Halsey Ives, the founder of the Saint Louis School and Museum of Fine Arts, was a 19th-century landscape artist who published a fine collection of art prints from the Columbian Exposition. ‘The Dream City’ is saturated with impressive engravings of notable buildings and architecture, inventions, and people from the 1893 World’s Fair.
