18CT Burmese Mandalay School Seated Bronze Buddha w. 2x

Up for sale from a recent client in Honolulu Hawaii this 18thcentury Burmese, Mandalay school seated bronze figure of Buddha, seated dhyanasana in the bhumisparsa madra or symbolic earth touching pose, his left hand in dhyana mudra symbolizing meditation, the figure is cast with attenuated torso, arms, and hands, a monks robe is draped over the left shoulder leaving the right shoulder bare, the face sharply cast with arched brows over almond shaped eyes slightly downcast in meditation, the head with ushnisha covered with rows of tiny curls, the ushnisha surmounted by a stylized flame representing the Buddha’s spiritual energy, the base is flanked by two smaller figures of attendants or worshippers posed in adoration with their hands clasped.

The piece is as you can see in the photos quiet impressive and a copy of the appraisal for the piece can be included in the sale.
