18K Gold Bautte Geneve Key Wind Watch

Jean-Francois Bautte (Swiss, 1772-1837) 18K gold, porcelain, enamel, circa 1830. A fine 18K gold key wind watch featuring a flower scene with enamel on the back and an inscription on the interior.

Dimensions: 1 3/4 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches wide; 4.4 cm tall X 3.2 cm wide. Weight: 21.6 grams. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: No key so watch is not tested, cracks to porcelain dial, some loss to enamel on case

Provenance: From an estate in Virginia, descended through the family since new.
