After Willem van Herp I (Flemish, 1614-1677). "Interior with Figures Eating and Drinking" - 18th century, oil on canvas painting, apparently unsigned. A large family gathering in a tavern enjoying an afternoon meal. Original paintinghoused in Essex County Council UK Permanent Collection. Approx: (canvas) 28" x 33", (frame) 34" x 38". Accompanied with an appraisal by Berry-Hill Galleries, Inc - New York for $4,500 in 1973 and a Conservation Receipt from DeVantCrissey - 1990.
Condition Report: Under blacklight examination: Expertly done horizontal repair line of in paint present measuring across surface. Two small areas of puncture measures 0.25" to lower left. Entire piece has been conserved with wax overcoat.
