James Cowan (apprenticed 1744, active 1760–81) (per Metmuseum.org) oignon spindle fusee pocket watch for parts or repair. Edinburgh, Scotland. Movement marked "Jam Cowan Edinburgh 507" Appears to have original crystal. Both cases are probably coin silver. Condition: for parts or repair, enameled face is loose, missing one hand, movement only runs for a few seconds but does wind, expected signs of age and wear to case, see images. Face measures 36mm, total case width is 41mm. Total size when fully assembled: approx. 49mm x 68mm (total height with loop up). Total weight: 116.8 grams.
