18TH C. SCOTTISH HIGHLAND BROADSWORD WITH SCABBARD
Early to Mid 18th Century traditional Scottish highland claymore pierced basket hilted broadsword. Steel or Iron basket hilt decorated with traditional pierced heart pattern of the late 17th and early 18th century, prior to the transition to the Pattern 1828. Blade bears double edge with thin central fuller, ray skin with wire wrapped handle. With a decoratively engraved pommel. Red leather handle with brass wire wrapping. Black leather scabbard with brass chape, throat and small wood handle double edged knife / dagger with brass locket hilt.
