18TH CENTURY SILVER-HILTED EAGLE HEAD POMMEL SWORD WITH SCABBARD.

Slightly curved double-fullered English style blade. Silver S-shaped guard and eagle head pommel connected with silver chain. Green dyed checkered ivory grip with strand of crimped silver wire wrap. Complete with its original tooled black leather scabbard with repousse silver mounts. CONDITION: Blade has been sharpened and retains a mostly polished surface with some scattered light pitting. Pommel is loose. Silver retains a pleasing mellow patina. Grip excellent. Scabbard shows a 4" loss at tip and the drag. Scabbard shows some flaking and losses, seam has lost its stitching.
