Ornate repousee silver plate and silvered brass oklad cover protecting the painted image with pierced openings to expose elements of the underlying painting. Self framed repousee floral border. Images of his shoulders of theMother of God and Christ. Brass applied halo. Background appears to contain 4 impressed signatures. Early wood backing with worm holes. Measures overall 16 3/4 inches tall x 13 1/4 inches wide. Halo is loose. Minor normal wear tosilvering finish, slightly warped. shipping weight 6 pounds.
