18ct gold opal & diamond ring

A late Victorian gold opal and old-cut diamond ring.

Partial hallmarks for London, 1897.

Ring size M1/2. 2.8gms.

Condition Report:
Surface scratches/ wear, few minor nicks in keeping with general age and use.

Evidence of resize - bands of discolouration and pitting to visible to ring.

Small patches of file marks visible to inner of shoulders on the ring.

Slight thinning to band.

Diamonds appear fairly well matched and fairly bright.

Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Opals with some minor abrasions.

Two diamonds with shallow chips.
