Title: 18th C. English Delft Blue & White Deep Dish
Provenance: Beautiful 18th Century English delft deep dish.; Decorated in a vivid deep cobalt blue, with a scene derived from Chinese export porcelain, featuring a pagoda, rocks, islands, a tree with stylized branches and four groups of birds flying in V formation. Lovely border with alternating panels of cross hatching and fruiting branches.; The overall appearance is very nice, with substantial rim fritting and small rim chips and a number of very fine hairlines, both front and back. These are not cracks, and the dish has a nice ring when tapped.; There is a collector's or museum inventory tag on the base, which I have left on.; Just under 9" diameter, 1 3/4" high.
