18th C. Engraved / Colored Map of Central America

Northern Europe, United Kingdom or colonies, ca. 18th to early 19th century CE. An engraved page from a book showing a color map of "Mexico or New Spain" clearly labeled in English. "The Pacific or South Sea" is labeled in large letters on the lower left while some of the islands of the Caribbean - notably Cuba and Jamaica - occupy the upper right. Mexico, what would become Central America, and the northern tip of South America are all visible and neatly labeled. At the far upper right is a page number, "Pag. 52, 1st Book". Comes in a custom wooden frame. Size of page: 13.1" W x 7.75" H (33.3 cm x 19.7 cm); size of frame: 15" W x 9.5" H (38.1 cm x 24.1 cm)

Condition Report: This is a page cut from a book. It has a few fold marks, a single modern ink mark on the extreme upper right, and very light staining but overall is in beautiful condition with all words very readable and the colors nicely preserved.
